It is the best thing you could do with your secrets. Having them and not showing them to the rest of the players is silly, and this creates drama (and gives you CP!).

I'm still working on the background, but if I wander over anything juicy, you'll hear from me.

My love of City of Lies reinforces my blackmailing credentials! Seriously, how often can a player get a quality, interactive disadvantage in a PbP that gives her tension and potential conflict since day one, the very conflict that is a staple of great stories?

Like Seppun-sama pointed out, my offer is better than your RL gut feeling is telling you if you don\\\'t value character preservation over samurai drama. I know I don\\\'t, and so I design Karoshi as deliciously prone to go out/down with style. :D

I don't think I'm gonna keep much stuff hidden from the players. After all, if you don't share your stuff, you're just playing with yourself ;) I couldn't think of any potential blackmail to give you, though I'm almost finished on the background. But Shin is an old war dog, so it shouldn't be very hard to get a lot of his background, especially for a Scorpion, given some time to prepare. We've been traveling together for at least half a year now, and previous to his assignment Karoshi could get info on acting officers as well, so if you ever think you should know one piece of his story or another, just PM me and we'll arrange the details ;D

As I have said, I'm willing to give out the rumors to people that want them.
