Well I wasnt going to start one of these seeing as there are only two others in my company  :D

But I was feeling left out so here we go!

I have not asked the gm for official approval but if it is ok with them and  there is a bushi or two that want to serve as yojimbo for my shugenja I will gladly take yea!

We have two squads, of which one is more fire/brimstone and the other is more support/healing?

That's the goal yea, but I have no idea who is focusing on what type of magic other than myself and with only 3 shugenja it might be a little tough to fill them out.

I assume that our Asahina cousin is more of a heal/support shugenja.

I am a little more combat orientated but can fill a support roll as well.

Nah, it's just for the fluff reasons.  You lead them both, I lead the support squad. The other squad is led by NPC, or a player if one shows up. This gives us a system to allocate new shugenja to squads.  If any shows up.

Name suggestion.

Dohi (earth-fire) for the combat squad.
Fuusui (air-water) for the support squad.

My girlfriend is going to be playing a Water Tensai.  So you are getting more support.

Because we can blow up enemy fortifications with a wave of our hands?  Or cloack our troops with a fog so they can reach enemy archers without being shot.  Or because we can patch you up when you return from the field of battle, guts hanging out.

Act as healers, or as religious advisers. I will not condone the use of glass cannons.

Fancy name for Wardmaster school tech. Basically  I can write spells on slip of paper (requires a roll), and activate them later slapping them on the target as a simple action.  Against unwilling target, I do need an attack roll.

Oh! Fancy words, still you need to do a simple action, which means you'll be losing a turn. But, given the fact you're an air shugenja, don't see much problem there :P

True, but it means I can get two buffs running in one turn. ^^
And I don't really plan to fight alone. >.>   At least, not against a superior opponent.  That  leave to the Lions.

Technically I can hit infinity and attack while at it. Just need an infinite number of monkeys using guard. As it stands you'd need 40 to hit me unless I went into a defensive stance. So no, I could not attack in defensive stances... at least not yet. Then again, I can hit you even needing 46. Can you hit me?

My armor Tn is pretty low, but I am very accurate.

as far as names for the squad, I like your idea Yogo-san, we will more than likely go with it.

Drinks I not sure I can do that....you might need a craftsman for that. But I can probly find a spell that will clear your head after drinking.

Hey guys.  I was expecting more Shugenja and if more come I might change the ruling, but for now I'm closing off squad 2 and making it NPC only squad.  It exists there are just no PCs in it.  Thanks.

Seeing as my comrades have laid out their talents on the table, it seems appropriate for me to do the same. My magics form more of a support element (movement/mobility spells are my main forté), but in my arrogance I am a pretty mean shot with a Dai-Kyu!!

Now I know who keeps use fed during the winter.  I hope you can hunt, Iuchi-san. ^^
