Evil Bob Campaigns

A thread for the glorious 2nd squad of the south company - Jouzu-gumi aka skillful group/troop/squad.

We are damn good at what we do. Heavy, medium and light armored troops that are well trained and like to enjoy their evenings with a good drink... or a game of go. Whatever. We are equal opportunities. I imagine a rag tag group of people who are all very different but close through shared comraderie and capable of working surprisingly well together with all their various combat skills. Two weapon fighting - improvised, swords or some big Ichiro handled pair of clubs. Spears, naginata, other polearms. Axes and kama. All here. We pull off the near impossible.

There will be cake and tea for some, hard shochu for the rest. Sake if you're nice and tell the gunso a good joke!

We'd have some troops who fight in heavy armor too. You can't tell my fighting guys and gals not to wear it! Who do you think you are buddy? :P I am not telling you to only wear heavy armor and never just a kimono! Get off my lawn *jab jab*

The use of heavy armor isn't copyrighted. Bog off. If someone trained at the Hida school wanted to join squad 2 then they can. You don't automatically claim samurai cause they are in heavy armor ^_-

Apparantly according to Heisuke then yes, you should be in his squad or something.

Personally, I'm happy with whoever for squad 2 as long as you're interesting :P and skilled.

We may have different squads and companies with different rolls but they aren't absolute. A courtier or shugenja who can fight could join us as could a scout or even someone who likes to use a horse a lot of the time. We'd need our own messengers WE can command. Not from some other squad. At the same time, I see nothing against why the courtier company cannot have a bushi with good courtier skills or the shugenja company cannot have a duelist yojimbo. An Isawa without a Shiba would be odd right?

How will you, as a Kakita, reconcile with working to help a Mirumoto trained bushi? Any rivalry? Don't really care?

I'm a kakita who can't write poetry or arrange flowers or do anything remotely artistic or cultured. I can't judge.

So what that means is that the dragon will be the 'refined' one and the crane will be 'punch things till it goes away' one.

I think so Yosai. I have courtier and etiquette and sincerity and benten's blessing, I meditate, I do tea ceremony and I am not that strong. So yeah, a bit refined. Miki? Scary devil woman! Yay, I like that. Miki is my go to girl!

More seriously, someone knowledgeable in engineering would be funky, as would an armorer or a musician!

Someone that gives you backrubs has a higher chance to find out your TRUE GENDER!

Hmm, possibly true Asahi but Masakaze isn't against people finding out - one just prefers the mystery. Still, the back rubber would be given a good degree of trust. And who would believe them? Don't take it for granted, however, that whatever equipment is destroyed it its course, the replacement would be provided. The Legion's supplies are far from bountiful. Replenishment rate is low.

Nudity is merely a physical state of being that has no bearing on your ability to punch somebody into submission.  I haven't practiced in the buff, but I'm confident in my fisticuffs clothed and otherwise.

Why Kitsuki-san? The absence of armor might present as a weakness when facing the enemy.

I don't know, Cuddles-sama, I don't wear armor and I've yet to get killed.

Surely not. On the contrary, it will be intimidating for the enemy to know that you do not even need armor to defeat them.

And you are much more pleasing on the eye without armor. ;)

I'm having eerie recollections of a bromance that occurred in a previous game.

I guarantee it wasn't me.  The first game I was in (MnSM) ended poorly for me, and I didn't really have any RP partners there.  Well, I had the one, but she turned out to be a bloodspeaker and that was bad all around.  I was in... one thread at the Mantis island game before getting fed to the shark.  And then there was the last Evil Bob game where I pretty much wandered around on my own most of the time when I wasn't trying to unsuccessfully flirt with a bookish Phoenix girl.

I know. it was a beautiful thing. The bromance shaped the scene in hilariously awful ways that game.

It occurs to me that broshido needs a dark counterpart, much like bushido has shourido.  Therefore, I propose the concept of "sheroudo".

They tried Horido, but that got shot down pretty fast.
