Title: XP and You Post by: Hlaoroo on October 01, 2011, 04:21:40 PM Earning XP
There are 3 ways to earn XP: 1. Being an active part of the game. Any PC that makes posts during the week will earn 2 XP at the end of it, with no consequence of what that character does in the game. 2. Being an exceptional player. Any PC who is part of an entertaining or memorable thread or start/continue PC driven plots in exciting ways may earn an XP for that thread. The criteria for this is a bit subjective, based on the feel of the forum and what the GMs feel fits the setting and mood of the game. A PC can earn up to 2 XP a week from these kind of threads. 3. Being an intrinsic part of the world. Any PC who is part of plot based threads, and work to continue those plots, keeping the game moving in a forward fashion, will gain XP for being a part of those threads. There is no cap on the amount of XP one can gain from being a part of these threads, BUT there is far greater chance of character death from such thread. Spending XP Post in your character sheet thread what you'd like to spend your XP on. If it is a skill, link to a thread where you were exposed to or practiced that skill. Once approved, a GM will update your sheet accordingly. Ranking Up As soon as your character has enough insight to rank up, they do. A GM will note it on your character sheet. Character Death If your character dies you may make another character up until November 15th. This character is built on the 125 starting XP points + any XP you've gain through contests + any XP you've gain from being an active player (2 xp a week). All other XP will be lost as an exclusive part of your last character, so be mindful of your decisions. Character death does have some consequences.
