OOC Mystery of the Yukigami / Setting and Rules / This Forum Game Has Moved!!!!!

News everyone! We've been working on moving this game to a new forum. The reasons are many; including the desire to move from an old version of SMF in favor of better phpBB features, the ability to have a better look and feel, and the fact that I can modify phpBB fairly easily. I know this is both good and bad news. It means everyone must register on the new forum and copy/paste what they have over. This is not a lot of work however, as this site will remain up as long as it needs to. You will not lose anything in the move. I think many vets will appreciate the move, and while the newer players won't know why: trust us. It will be much more convenient in the long run.
In apology for the pain of the move, I will be running a pre-game session! Check the announcement on the new forums for details.

Next Monday is the start day. I hope everyone is excited to start. We have a couple surprises between now and then. I hope you enjoy them. I'm back, though feeling a bit sick today and you should see Bob from Accounting back and ready to go tomorrow! Hlaoroo has been up to no good and will unleash all that on you guys while I get your characters all sorts of approved.

Don't be hating on people that don't watch Dr. Who now. The stories can be campy leading the viewer to believe that the danger isn't really something to get frantic about and the dialogue muddled, especially if you live in the states, making it hard to follow. That said there is some good stuff in Dr. Who. I am a big fan. That said I dislike BSG. I don't like that show at all. So you're gunna have to hate on me for while too if you hate on those that don't like Dr. Who. I stand with them.  The new BSG really sucked. It sucked like SGU. I like the original BSG. WORD |

Okay, so I don't have a set character in mind as yet. This is because I usually see games limited to number of characters per clan, and so I base my character concept partly on which clan still isn't filled. Since that doesn't apply here, that leaves me wondering what spots still need to be filled. So, is there any sort of character 'lack' at all? For example, does the game already have enough courtier/shugenja? Are there any other legion roles that still don't have PC representation? Or is this more of a 'make a character now, find a squad to be welcomed to later' deal?
Currently, I'm considering a Tamori (this account name is admittedly a placeholder), but a) there's a fair bit of Dragon representation already and b) I'm not aware of how likely it is that this Legion would have accepted a Tamori in Suzaku.
If you're looking to fill lacking roles, shugenja and true ninja are what we lack. We have, only a handful of shugenja and of those we have healing and information types, no boom boom types. While we have some definate scouts we do not have any Goju or Shinobi. |
