Bear with me, as this is a work in progress. The Gunso are free to add anything that will be squad specific.
"Fire Cleanses all Sin" We are the backbone of the Legion. Without us, there would be no need for the others. Scouting Reports would be useless without our soldiers to make use of them, the Shugenja would be left vulnerable, as would the Administration Company. We are the sword, and the armor of the Legion. As the purest form of samurai, we are all expected to be an example for the rest of the Legion. We have lost many brothers and sisters on the feild of battle, and our continued service is in their name. The Following is a list of rules given to each member of the company, to be distributed by the gunso of each squad.
Rules and Regulations
1. Physical Training is paramount, for an unfit soldier is a burden to the rest of the Company. The type of training will be the purview of the squad Gunso, save for every third day, which will involve a Company Run, as well as any training the Chui sees fit. The Chui will start with 1st Squad and 2nd Squad at day three and rotate.
2. Mandatory weapons and armor maintenance will be followed. Gunso shall ensure that their squad is fit for combat, any issues resolving weapons or armor shall be immediately reported to an officer, and the officer shall inform the Chui.
3. No drinking 8 hours before duty.
4. Watch and patrols will be instituted. More information on this topic will be forthcoming.
5. Conduct unbecoming of a samurai shall be punished by public whipping. The number of lashes shall depend on the severity of the offence. Officers shall receive double the punishment of a hohei, due to the expectations and trust placed upon them. Abuse of the term "Conduct Unbecoming" shall also be punished.
6. The Chui will receive reports from the Gunso at the start of each day. Go through the chain of command. If the nikutai cannot assist you, go to the Gunso, if the Gunso cannot assist you, both you and the Gunso shall go to the Chui. Duels within the Company are to be brought to the Chui to ask permission. Illegal duels will be punished under the Conduct Unbecoming clause.
7. Do not harass the commoners. We are guests in the Dragon lands, and you are expected to act like guests.
First Squad shall bear the burden of our Heavy Infantry. Second will be our fleetest of foot, and harriers. Third will be our masters of cavalry, and the fourth shall be our reserve squad, as well as our archers.

OOC Mystery of the Yukigami / General OOC Chat / Re: Suzaku Company Squad Information

Okay. I've been making rules and regulations. I will want to speak with each Gunso personally, through PM or through Skype.
I wanted you all to get ideas about what you wanted before I stepped in. Now that it happened, I'll be adding stuff on a Company wide. I will be posting in the General Quarters area and going to give everybody hopefully clearer ideas of what is expected of the Company. You all seem to have set ideas for what you want, and in the case of Gunso, what your squads will look like. If anyone has any questions, please PM me. Since there is little flavor for military standard operational procedures, I'm borrowing from my military past.

What I am thinking is that due to the losses we have suffered, and the consolidation of the squads, the Chui would have simply let the Gunso choose their strongest tactic, and form a squad based on their tactical ideas. In order to keep things less argumentative, I think this is the best way. If Akodo-gunso wants heavy infantry that act as paragons, and are minimalists, then I'll trust his leadership. If Kituki-gunso wants a harrier/mobile infantry/troubleshooters than I'll trust its leadership. I think it's best for "reserve squad" to be 4th. They're NPCs and it just seems better that way.
On a side note, I must confess a Spider leading the Calvary seems like an awesome story.

Sounds good to me, Akodo-gunso. I enjoy organizing chaos. I don't see myself getting an adviser from North Company, though I certainly won't turn one down if one get offered. I think I'd rather rely on my own company for that sort of thing. I nosed around in the character descriptions, and I think I'll know who to turn to for advice, my Gunso.

I've been reading up on the Rokugani version of troop deployment. I think depending on the situation, a Chui warrants an honor guard. I think it serves us all best if that rotates between the squads. Shokami's the sort of fellow who does not want to show favoritism and wants to inspire all his company. Unless you all just want to give the job to NPCs and throw the poor Monkey to the wolves.
There is sadly little on proper military regiments, and those most involve chui>gunso. So due to the lack of information, I'll borrow from my own military experience. So I'm mostly going to be doing the planning, with help from the gunso, while carrying out the orders will be the purview of the rank and file. Though both in and out of character, I'm the type of guy who wants to hear any ideas, no matter the source.

Imperial Camp / Officers and Utility / Re: Officers and Utility Description

Shokami's office is well decorated, most of the items were obtained as wedding gifts, from his wife's family. There is a well made and ornately carved desk in the back hall with a comfortable chair in the back left corner. In front of the desk there is four comfortable chairs, one for each Gunso. A painting of Toshi Rando as it was being constructed hangs behind his desk.
The back left corner holds a screen, painted with floral patterns and here is where Shokami stores his armor when it is not in use. It's also where he stores his shrine, and where he prays.
The room is kept spotless, and Shokami spends some of his spare time making sure his system of filing is kept. Shokami does not hold meeting in his office, as it is a little small for an entire company to fit comfortably, and he prefers his men to be comfortable. On the South Wall, his company banner hangs, along with a list of the men who died for the Empire's glory.

OOC Mystery of the Yukigami / Characters / Re: Unresolved distress

I enjoyed it. The view of inside the character's head was interesting, trying to suppress unpleasant memories from war is something I can relate to. It shows the humanity of a character, which sometimes can be hard to do. It made me want to read on, which is always important in a story, and was written well. To the point there was no jarring grammar that detered from the story at all. Very, very good.
