Ghost Lantern Description

The Ghost Lantern is found at a crossroads between the regular trade route through the mountain pass and the Gracious Guest Temple. It is made of a single piece of thick stone and stands from it's base to about 3 feet off the ground. Every day it is cleaned and kept in good order by the monks of the temple. What is special about the Ghost Lantern is that it never needs to be lit. Instead every night the lantern seems to come to life by itself with a flame that cannot be doused. It is hot to the touch like fire but has no fuel source and simple goes out at dawn. At all times of day and night, lit or not, most people who linger there get the feeling that they are being watched, or that they can see dark shadows watching them from the forest, but when they move to investigate it always turns out to be mundane things or they disappear all together. The monks of the temple and the Tamori family seem to do nothing about this even though they are so close.
