This house is built far up the tallest hill in the village.  One must climb a long staircase to get to the gates at the top.  On the grounds there are several buildings, a shrine, the workhouse, the office building and the homestead.

The grounds are built around a  central shrine that is the focal point of the household.  The shrine is red roofed and adorn with many charms, flanked by golden dragons.  The Kami Togashi sits inside the shrine looking past each visitor no matter where they stand, as if the eyes track not where the visitor is, but where he will be next.  A colossal bell sits a few yards away and is rung every morning as the sun crests over the mountain and every evening as it disappears behind them, so the time is slightly different every day.

The workhouse is normally off limits to outsiders, but is unguarded.  It is far from the other buildings tucked back like a work shed.  There is a sliding wooden door that allows entrance and slot windows near the room that can be propped open.  Inside is where the Tamori make their famous potions and explosives.  There are strange tools and work benches all around.  After a days work, late in the afternoon most everything has a residue of black powder that the servants spend the evening cleaning.  The elements used to make explosives and the fireworks and potions themselves are stored in a locked room that has magic seals placed on it.  Near the workhouse there is a clearing where fireworks and explosives can be set tested.  If a firework is tested or set off here or in most places in town it will echo off the mountains and everyone will be aware (though they might not know where it came from.  Investigation(Notice) DC 25 to tell.

The office building is where records are kept.  Most of these pertain to encoded potion recipes and ciphered spells, family histories and other records pertaining to the Tamori in this town.  The building is close to the main homestead, and is locked when not in use.  There are no windows.  Inside there are two desks, candles and rows of cupboards filled with scrolls and books filed in a unknown method.

The main homestead is a sprawling one story affair with rooms stacked next to each other, one by one with no hallways.  To get anywhere one must go from room to room or walk around the outside of the building.  Doors slide open wide.  There are no chairs in any room, only pillows to sit upon and rarely low tables to set things upon.  Usually items are placed on a tray and put on the floor.  A few rooms have fire pits in the center to warm or to heat tea.  Lamps and candles have to be brought into a room to light them in the evening, and never left there when not in use.
