Yoritomo, Tsuruchi, Kitsu Motso, Ikoma Ujiaki, all great characters.
I also loved Ryosei. Woman had a pair of ovaries that made mountains crumble. That's why, when I read the Fox joined the Mantis, a little bit of me died.

Read the first lesson. It's really good. In a bad way. Will do. I find the current fictions too lighthearted, and very much unlike the original storyline. They are in a war with a God Avatar of Destruction, they are screwed, and yet... why do they seem so frickin cheerful? |

Problem with fictions is there's no way they're gonna be on the level of the old ones unless they go back to professional writers. And cost-wise, that's not gonna happen. People buy it anyway (and that includes me, I'm a sucker for the CCG)  I must've stopped following the storyline somewhere around late Jade. Came back for a bit in Lotus/Samurai and then dropped right back out. |

What makes the storyline tough to really follow a somewhat straight line is that dumb things can appear due to tourny prizes like Gutobo killing the God Beast by eating his way out of it. My issue is mantis hasnt much quality time in story beyond Dude shows up and is attempts at bad ass for a paragraph so I don't really pay to much attention to the stories. Though First lesson was great.

Just read first lesson. Spotted at least three spelling mistakes. They need a better editor.
Ignoring that... wow, what a great and compelling story. I actually feel haunted myself now after reading it. I really want Kenta to somehow take back his family lands. I hate the Spider even more... gah...
