STORY TIME! Back in the first forum game I ran called Words Cut Like Steel, I created an NPC called Doji Sakurako (this was a full year before the card came out of the same name). She was the daughter of the very prestigious duelist and diplomat Doji Kazo http://l5r.wikia.com/wiki/Doji_Kazo. But I made her incredibly stuck up and super 'noble'. One of her claims of fame was that she was a member of the Pink Cranes, a sorority that I made up (because if they Rokugan has academies you know each school has clubs inside of it so everyone knows who the in crowd and the out crowd is). The Pinks Cranes was the top tier of the woman's club at KDA, and Sakurako used that as leverage against the PCs. I never came up with the traditions and rituals of the Pink Cranes, only that they were women that came from the most glorious of samurai lines (or the richest). Sakurako was probably not representative of the women in the club as Crane tend to be more honorable than her (she was a secret Kolat) but it is probably easy in the club to succumb to being as flighty and snobby as she is if you're not careful. The only thing I did solidify is to show that you are part of the club your crane or family mons would be colored powdered pink, and you received a powder pink kimono with a white crane mon on it as your official Pink Crane dress when doing official Pink Crane stuff. And that is the story of the Pink Cranes... so far. I would love to expand on them at any opportunity because I loved the idea. Doji Sakurako  |

Interesting. I doubt Miki would fit in, because her particular family is pretty poor by crane standards.
