Impervious to the chants of the priests. The use of the shugenja is optimal in non-combat situations as healing or attending to the religious need of the squads.
I remember how the Isawa chanted their prowess in war thanks to their shugenja. I also remember the sound of their eyes widening when I assaulted their flank. Brief sound though. Arrows make chanting a bit hard.

You can tell that shugenja are worthless to Matsu Tsuko's mom and dad. And to half the population of Toshi Ranbo after the Wolf got all explody on their heads. If a Kitsu summons up spirits to fight for him, doesn't mean all the rest of 'em do.

Raving lunatics. They are so confident of their power. They have no fear. That's why they are so easy to defeat. :| @Hoseki: Their sacrifice was a pity. But one Heisuke sets his mind in a goal, there is no stopping him. :| Anyways... I want the game to start I don't recall the yamabushi ever losing in battle... we only deploy them carefully afterall. I do agree that the Shiba could be flanked though. The Lion have cavalry and therefore horse archers as well as normal archers. Spells do not outrange arrows. Lion can just shoot at them and outmanourve them while continuing to shoot them. That is if the Lion commander is smart. Advancing on Phoenix is silly. Phoenix rarely go to war and when they do they are serious and will burninate you if you get close... |
