I remember hearing about... several hundred years ago... there being a similar contest that involved many breaches of dignity... That doesn't sound very good for an honorable woman... |

The Kumite is an honorable tournament of skill in all manner of unarmed combat. Two brave Yoritomo, Okitsugu and Buntaro, hosted it in 1168. The event was won by Hida Nichie-sama, a Crab samurai-ko skilled in the art of joint locks. There should be no need to divide such an event on gender lines, unless you would imply that male samurai, after years of discipline, would be unable to control their hormones in such an environment? I am unsure what is worse - the implication that all men are honorless dogs, or the hubris required to assume you are an example of beauty that would make a samurai forget his training.
