I'm just going to go on the record and say that I won't re-read fictions. Once I have given an opinion, it's final. I don't like that changes (barring fixing typos) are continually added after comments from readers, since that means the previous comments given are either void, or the story have been changed to suit what people wanted to see in it. To me, it feels like a form of cheating.
So, in short, no I won't read changed stories.

People are of course entitled to their own opinion. It's just my opinion, as an artist, to not present a work, and then change it after recieving criticism. I feel it's better to accept the criticism, leave the work as it is to remind of what we have evolved from when we improve on the next step.  Also, since the fictions are judged upon the comments it recieves, again, I feel its better to just leave it as it is, so it doesn't render previous comments null. |
